Classroom Updates & News

I love using the Internet to find helpful games, worksheets, and ideas to supplement the material that is being learned in my class.  The kids love getting to spend time on the computer playing games that are fun for them, but also educational.  Here are a few websites that I have found helpful.

www.starfall.com- This site has lots of phonics games that the children in my class really enjoy playing.  There are also short stories that children can click on and the computer reads them to the child.

www.education.com- Tons of free, printable worksheets for all ages; There are lots on phonics and reading, as well as numbers.

www.scholastic.com- Fun, educational games for kids to play; There is a great section on Clifford the Big Red Dog with games and stories.

www.abcya.com- Great games for kids in kindergarten through 5th grade.  Each grade level has multiple games for several educational subjects.
